A bored dog finds its own job, and it is usually something you would rather have kept in one piece. Sniffing is the answer: hard work for the head while your dog stays in its bed.
You hide dry kibble or treats in the ribbed and teddy fabric of this ball. Your dog has to work them out with its nose rather than its teeth. Ten minutes of sniffing does more than half an hour of running.

Push dry kibble or treats between the strips of fabric and put the ball down. Start easy, with a few pieces half visible, so your dog works out the idea. After that you can hide them deeper.
