Not every dog puzzles the same way. One has a slider open in two seconds, another takes a good look around first. The Rainbow Set has pieces from level 1, 2 and 3, so you'll soon see where your dog stands and where he still has room to grow.

You get a base board and seven puzzle pieces. Onix and Oli are the easiest: slide a lid aside or turn it round. On the two Zoey pieces your dog lifts a small lid. Maya is the trickiest, with a lid to lift and a drawer to pull open. Together they make 15 hiding spots.

Turn Zoey and Maya to face another way and the difficulty changes. Every piece is interchangeable with other Pawzler sets and single pieces, so you can keep building later.

The set is made of food-safe, recyclable polypropylene in Europe and can go in the top rack of the dishwasher. Size: 24 x 18 x 6 cm, weight 0.6 kg.

How to play

  1. Start at level 1

    Put Onix and Oli on the board first. They're the easiest pieces.

  2. Add Zoey and Maya

    Once sliding and turning go well, add the pieces with lids and a drawer.

  3. Turn the pieces

    Turn Zoey and Maya to face another way for a new challenge.

  • At the daycare we see how differently dogs approach a puzzle: one slides straight in, another watches from a distance first. With three levels in one set, you'll soon find out where your dog stands, and where he still has room to grow.

Playing and safety

Always supervise play. Stay especially close when you introduce a piece from a higher level, so you can help if your dog gets stuck. Pawzler is not a chew toy: if he starts chewing or gets impatient, steer him back to searching or put the puzzle away for a while. Take the puzzle away once everything has been found and check the pieces regularly for damage.

Questions

Is the Rainbow Set suitable as a first puzzle?
It can be, if you build up slowly. Start with Onix and Oli (level 1) and only add Zoey and Maya once those come easily. If you want to keep it as simple as possible for a complete beginner, choose the Beginner Set.
How do I make it easier or harder?
Turn Zoey and Maya to face another way; that changes the difficulty. You can also leave Maya out for a while until your dog has mastered the other pieces.
What do I put in the compartments?
Treats, regular kibble or a little xylitol-free peanut butter. You can also put part of his usual food in it.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
Yes, in the top rack. Give the pieces a quick rinse with warm water afterwards.
Can I add pieces later?
Yes. All Pawzler pieces fit the same base board and are sold separately. A damaged piece can be replaced on its own, too.
