An ordinary coat covers the back. The belly, legs and undercarriage stay exposed, and that's exactly where the mud is.
The Protect Overall is a full suit: four legs, closed belly. Your dog comes home and you take the suit off rather than washing the dog. In a wet autumn that saves an enormous amount of work.
4% elastane so it moves with him. Waterproof and windproof.
