In autumn and winter it's dark when you step outside. Your dog still wants to run, but after three throws the ball has vanished into the dark grass. The Chuckit! Max Glow gives off its own light, so you can both find it again.

Charging needs no batteries or cables. Hold the ball under a bright lamp or in the sun for five to ten minutes, or shine a torch on it. It then glows for 20 to 30 minutes. By day it's simply a tough rubber ball with a long bounce.

There are four sizes: S (Ø 5 cm), M (Ø 6.4 cm), L (Ø 7.6 cm) and XL (Ø 8.9 cm). The rubber has a textured surface your dog can grip well, and it's easy to clean. The S, M and L fit the Chuckit! Sport launcher of the matching size.

How to play

  1. Charge it

    Hold the ball under a bright lamp for 5 to 10 minutes, or shine a torch on it.

  2. Play where you know

    Pick a field you know, away from traffic, ditches and obstacles.

  3. Recharge as you go

    Glow getting weaker? A moment under the torch and you can carry on.

Why we sell this

  • In autumn and winter, many owners collect their dog from us after dark. A dog with energy to spare still wants to play fetch after that. With a ball that glows on its own, you'll both find it again.

Playing and safety

Always supervise play. Choose a size that doesn't fit entirely in your dog's mouth. In the dark, only throw in a place you know, away from traffic, ditches and obstacles. It's a fetch ball, not a chew toy. Replace the ball as soon as it shows cracks, cuts or loose pieces.

Questions

How do I charge the ball?
Hold it under a bright lamp or in the sun for five to ten minutes, or shine a bright torch on it. It then glows for 20 to 30 minutes. When it starts to fade, give it a quick recharge.
Which size should I choose?
Chuckit! recommends S up to about 9 kg, M from 9 to 27 kg, L from 27 to 45 kg and XL from 45 kg. The ball must never fit entirely in your dog's mouth. If in doubt, size up.
Is the glow material safe?
Chuckit! uses a safe photoluminescent material: it stores light and slowly releases it again. There are no batteries or lights inside. It's still a fetch ball, though, so don't let your dog chew it.
Max Glow or Max Glow Ultra Squeaker?
The Max Glow comes in four sizes and has no squeaker. The Max Glow Ultra Squeaker comes in M only, squeaks and floats. If your dog responds well to sound or you often play near water, choose the Squeaker.
