By hand, you throw a ball a short way. With the Chuckit! Sport, according to Chuckit!, you throw it two to three times as far with the same swing. Your dog gets a proper run, and your shoulder lasts longer.

Picking up happens without bending: press the cup over the ball and lift. That way you never touch the wet, slobbery ball. The ergonomic handle sits comfortably in your hand, and the launcher itself is made of light, flexible plastic.

There are five lengths. The 30, 45 and 63 cm are for M balls (Ø 6.4 cm), the 35 cm is for S balls (Ø 5 cm) and the 66 cm for L balls (Ø 7.6 cm). Every launcher comes with one Chuckit! tennis ball that fits it.

How to play

  1. Match launcher and ball

    Choose a launcher that fits the size of your dog's ball.

  2. Scoop and swing

    Press the cup over the ball, swing from back to front and let go at the end.

  3. Build up slowly

    Start with short throws and a few rounds. Then give your dog water and rest.

Why we sell this

  • At the daycare we see that high-energy dogs only settle once they've had a proper sprint. Throwing by hand rarely gets the ball far enough for that. A launcher does it with less effort, and you never have to touch the wet ball.

Playing and safety

Always supervise play. Only use Chuckit! balls in the size that matches the launcher, and never throw towards people, other dogs or a road. Check that the field is clear first. Build up running gradually, especially with young dogs and dogs with joint problems, and give water and rest after play. Don't let your dog chew the launcher, and put it away after play.

Questions

Which length should I choose?
Start with the ball. Small dogs play with an S ball, which fits the 35 cm launcher. For M balls, choose 30, 45 or 63 cm. The longer the launcher, the further you throw with the same swing; the 30 cm fits more easily in a bag. Large dogs with an L ball use the 66 cm.
Which balls fit?
Chuckit! balls in the launcher's size. The M launchers take, for example, the Ultra Ball, Max Glow, Ultra Squeaker and Erratic in size M, plus the Sniff Fetch, Super Crunch, Rebounce, Eco Fetch and Confetti Ball. The 35 cm takes the S sizes, the 66 cm the L sizes.
Is a ball included?
Yes, one Chuckit! tennis ball that fits the launcher. If you want a ball that floats and wears less quickly, take a look at the rubber Ultra Ball.
Can I throw other balls with it?
Only use Chuckit! balls in the right size. A ball that sits too loose or too tight in the cup flies off in an unexpected direction or gets stuck.
