  • Smells of bacon

The scent is in the rubber and gets your dog's nose into the game.

  • Easier to find

In long grass or bushes, your dog finds the ball with his nose.

  • Floats

High bounce and it floats. Happy to go into the water.

Sound familiar?

  • The ball vanishes into the bushes and you end up searching together
  • Your dog runs, but never uses his nose to search
  • An ordinary ball loses his interest after a few minutes

The ball shoots into the bushes and your dog chases it with his eyes, not his nose. The Chuckit! Sniff Fetch smells of bacon. That makes it more interesting for your dog and helps him find the ball by himself.

According to Chuckit!, the scent appeals to the more than 100 million scent receptors in your dog's nose. The ball is made of the same tough natural rubber with an extra-thick core as the other Chuckit! balls. It bounces high and floats.

The blue ball is size M (Ø 6.4 cm) and fits all Chuckit! M launchers of 30, 45 and 63 cm. Prefer a different scent? There's also a green one that smells of peanut butter, and a duo set with one of each.

How to play

  1. Let him sniff

Hand the ball to your dog first, so he gets to know the scent.

  2. Throw into the grass

Throw the ball into longer grass and let your dog find it by nose.

  3. Reward the return

Does he bring it back and let go? Then throw again straight away.

Complete the game

Often bought together. Each one goes in with its own button.

Why we sell this

  • At the daycare we see every day how much a dog does with his nose. A scented ball puts that nose to work during fetch. And a ball your dog finds himself is one you don't have to look for.

Playing and safety

Always supervise play. Choose a ball that doesn't fit entirely in your dog's mouth. The scent makes the ball extra tempting to chew, so put it away after play and don't leave your dog alone with it. Replace the ball as soon as it shows cracks, cuts or loose pieces.

Questions

Is it a treat?
No. The bacon scent is in the rubber, but it's still a ball: not for eating or chewing.
Bacon or peanut butter?
That's mostly down to taste. The bacon ball is blue, the peanut butter ball green. Not sure which your dog will pick? Get the duo set with one of each.
Which dogs is size M for?
Chuckit! recommends size M for dogs of about 9 to 27 kg. The ball must never fit entirely in your dog's mouth. If in doubt, choose a bigger ball.
Does it float?
Yes. It's made to bounce high and stay afloat, so it can go into the water.
