A tennis ball is bald, wet and heavy after a few walks. The Chuckit! Ultra Ball is made of rubber. It stays in one piece, bounces high and rinses clean in seconds after play.

The ball has an extra-thick rubber core. That gives it a good bounce on grass and sand, and keeps it afloat when it ends up in the water. The bright orange and blue is easy to spot in long grass.

There are five sizes: S (Ø 5 cm), M (Ø 6.4 cm), L (Ø 7.6 cm), XL (Ø 8.9 cm) and XXL (Ø 10.2 cm). The S, M and L fit the Chuckit! Sport ball launcher of the matching size. The XL and XXL are thrown by hand.

How to play

  1. Pick the right size

    The ball must not fit entirely in your dog's mouth. If in doubt, size up.

  2. Throw and fetch

    Throw on grass, sand or into the water. Reward your dog for bringing it back and letting go.

  3. Stop in time

    A few short rounds is enough. Then give water and rest, and put the ball away.

Why we sell this

  • At the daycare we see how quickly an ordinary tennis ball goes bald and soggy. A rubber ball lasts longer, rinses clean in seconds and is easier to find in the grass. That's why we stock the Ultra Ball in five sizes, so there's one for every dog.

Playing and safety

Always supervise play. Choose a size that doesn't fit entirely in your dog's mouth, and size up if in doubt. The Ultra Ball is a fetch ball, not a chew toy: don't let your dog chew it on his own. Check the ball regularly and replace it as soon as it shows cracks, cuts or loose pieces.

Questions

Which size suits my dog?
Chuckit! recommends S up to about 9 kg, M from 9 to 27 kg, L from 27 to 45 kg and XL or XXL from 45 kg. More important than weight: the ball must never fit entirely in your dog's mouth. If you're between two sizes, go for the bigger one.
Which launcher goes with it?
The S fits the Chuckit! Sport 35 cm, the M fits the Sport 30, 45 and 63 cm, and the L fits the Sport 66 cm. We don't have a launcher for the XL and XXL: you throw those by hand.
Does the ball float?
Yes. The thick rubber core keeps it afloat, so it can go into the pond, the ditch or the sea.
Ultra Ball, Ultra Squeaker or Max Glow?
The Ultra Ball is the basic one: high bounce, floats, easy to see. The Ultra Squeaker is the same kind of ball with a squeaker, for dogs that respond to sound. The Max Glow glows in the dark, for evening walks in autumn and winter.
